Yadier Molina Argues Balls and Strikes, Gets Suspended
You'd think after spending over seven seasons in the big leagues and having two brothers in the game, Yadier Molina would know better than to ump bump.
The St. Louis Cardinals catcher has been suspended for five games after making contact with plate umpire Rob Drake several times during the 10th inning of his team's 8-7 win over the Milwaukee Brewers Tuesday night. Also, he was freaking out so bad after being called out on strikes, that he sprayed the poor guy (who was just doing his job) with spit while he yelled. Gross.
Molina was also fined an undisclosed amount by Major League Baseball, with the penalty beginning Thursday evening when the Cardinals head to Florida to face the Marlins. That is, unless he appeals the suspension. Good luck with that, buddy.

Sometimes, umpires need a little spittle in the face to keep it real.
MLB usually tacks on an extra day when the suspension is announced so that when it's appealed they can reduce it by a day and still get what they want. In this case they really need to uphold the suspension completely and deny the appeal (if he does appeal). Stupid doesn't deserve leniency no matter who's being stupid.
