Stephen Strasburg Returns September 6

We know you're pumped, and we're super excited too. Stephen Strasburg is making his 2011 season debut on Tuesday, September 6. Can you wait that long, Nationals fans? And can you afford to go to the game now since ticket prices have absolutely sky rocketed upon the news of his return?

Strasburg will start for AA Harrisburg on Thursday in his final rehab appearance on the comeback trail from Tommy John surgery. If all goes as planned, the 23-year-old right-hander will climb the hill at home against the Los Angeles Dodgers next Tuesday.

The first pick in the 2009 draft was 5-3 with a 2.91 ERA and 92 strikeouts in just 68 innings as a rookie in 2010 before undergoing the ligament repair operation. That was a huge bummer.

If there was any question on whether or not this kid is gonna be the phenom he was last season, they can be put down as he clocked 98 mph on the radar gun during his last rehab start with AAA Syracuse on Saturday, proving his velocity is just fine. And the location? He struck out seven over five innings with two hits, a run, and no walks. Let's see if that curveball comes back along with his heater.

BELIEVE IT! I'm so excited to see him pitch again - hopefully he takes good care of his arm this time!

His arm is going to fall off. This guy has no self control when it comes to pitching.

I can't wait to see him pitch again. Can't afford the game like you said, but I'm sure it'll be broadcast nationally!
