Jason Giambi
Three bombs in one game, people. At the tender age of 40. His first two longballs came off Kyle Kendrick in the first and third innings before he went deep off Danys Baez in the fifth.
He then struck out swinging during his final two at bats and now has four homers on the season to compliment his .194 batting average.
Giambi became the second-oldest player to go yard three times (thrice?) in a single game since Stan Musial did it back in 1962 when he was 41.
That's pretty good. Too bad The Giambino had to use steroids most of the way, which completely invalidates pretty much everything he's ever done in his life and douses any respect I could have had for the guy. Last night however, is still pretty impressive. Maybe he was wearing his gold thong?
Even more impressive is the fact that this marks the third time in just eight days that a big league player hit three homers in the same game. Carlos Beltran did it for the New York Mets last Thursday while current home run champ Jose Bautista crushed three for the Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday. Badasses.

I honestly forgot he was playing at all, let alone playing for the Rockies.
