Wally Backman Amazes and Frightens Us
These days, Wally Backman is rarely referred to as a "former New York Mets second baseman." No, now he is better known as the lunatic South Georgia Peanuts skipper with hilarious anger management and self-control issues.
Seriously, he needs his mouth washed out with a stiff bar of soap. And for me to say that is pretty incredible considering I have the vocabulary of a sailor.
Obviously, every manager in the history of America's Pastime has disagreed with one call or another made by an umpire. Sometimes that call is a disputed home run.
The video below, filmed for a documentary on minor league baseball called Playing for Peanuts, is chock-full of four-letter insults. It makes Cee-Lo's new jam look like a lullaby, so please view with parental discretion. Behold, Wally Backman at his best:
Outstanding.

Ha! Holy shit, I thought he was going to have a heart attack! And how tall is he anyway, like five feet? lol That umpire must be pretty tall.
THAT WAS AMAZING. Keep this guy away from little league!
He needs to enlighten and expand his vocabulary. There are so many better insults than the f-bomb!
He's like the real-life Yosemite Sam.
I had the misfortune of having a short run-in with Backman when he was playing minor league ball in my home town of Lynchburg, VA back in the 80s(my big mouth, his sensitive ears). Suffice it to say, even back then, it was obvious that he's a few bricks short of a load.
YOU MINOR LEAGUE M###ERF###ER.
LOL What an awesome insult! Oh wait, you're in the minors too Wally.
