Babes Love Reader Feedback!

Dearest BLB readers,

We hope you've been ok with the downtime between game 162 and the start of the playoffs. It's a difficult time for all of us, but fear not, the playoffs will be here tomorrow. You could take this time off to do something you've been meaning to do for a while.. household projects, spending time with friends and family, feeding your dog... OR, you can read MLB blogs so you can fend off the shakes and get your baseball fix.

Obviously, you know which route we're taking.

So, to fill the void in our lives for the next long 24+ hours, we want to hear YOUR thoughts! What did you think of all the end of the season firings around MLB? What are your predictions for the post season? Which matchups (ALDS/NLDS or possibly in the ALCS/NLCS) are you most excited to watch this month? What were the highlights of the 2010 season? Which team totally shit the bed this season? Who really needs to hang it up next year (that isn't already)? You read what we had to say all season long, now we want to hear YOUR thoughts!

Happy Playoffs to you and yours!

XOXO,

Sooze and Marea

As a life long Red Sox fan, I'm pretty pumped to see the Twins hopefully beat down the Yankees. The biggest disappointment for me obviously was that Boston failed miserably. Here's to 2011!!

I hope that Tony La Russa does the smart thing(he is a genius, afterall, right?) and walks away from the Cardinals. His message(and constant mini-micro-managing) have gotten stale. The FO needs a fire lit under their collective asses in order to right the ship in St. Louis, and TLR saying buh-bye would be the first step in that direction. Who would replace him, however, would depend on whether the FO's overblown sense of self-worth can be put in check or not.
And Bill DeWitt needs to do two other things this off-season; 1) sign Albert Pujols to an extension, no matter the cost; 2)put it in writing that he will do everything humanly, and inhumanly possible to bolster the roster, beginning with the removal of the padlock on the payroll pocketbook. If he doesn't, Albert will play out next year and then hit the FA market; and if that happens, there's no way in Hell they'll be able to sign him.
As far as the playoffs are concerned, I'll be too busy re-arranging my sock drawer to care about it.

The Tampa Bay Rays are going all the way this year. They are showing the world that their old-fashioned style of team play, speed, great defense and pitching, and timely hitting can take them to the top, even on a limited budget.

GO RAYS!

Terrence - TOTALLY! I thought before the season started that they would be the runaway leaders of the AL West. Then Junior fell asleep at the wheel...

I have a feeling that, despite the 14-2 record the New York Yankees have against the Minnesota Twins, the Twins will take it to them for possibly the biggest surprise of the playoffs.

My other prediction is that the Phightins will somehow find a way to shit the bed. Both Oswalt and Hamels aren't necessarily the virtual lock for success analysts seem to attribute to them.

My favorite Twins moments of 2010 (in no particular order):

1. The Inaugural game at Target Field
2. Jason Kubel's grand slam off of Mariano Rivera, ending the Twins' winless streak against the Evil Empire
3. Denard Span with three triples in one game
4. Delmon Young's walk-off single resulting in a White Sox throwing error and a Twins victory
5. Danny Valencia's first-ever major-league home run/grand slam
6. Joe Mauer's behind-the-net pop-up catch
7. Jim Thome's 480 ft. bomb on Labor Day
8. Thome's 2-run walk-off tater at the bottom of the 10th against the White Sox
9. Carl Pavano's mustache
10. Twins clinching the AL Central with a win against the Indians and the White Sox losing to the A's

I could have gone into a more personal aspect of the season, but I chose not to for the time being.
