Holy Breaking Ball, Jonathan Sanchez

Nice work, Sanchez
First complete game? Check. First shut out? Check. A career-high in strikeouts? Crank it up to eleven. Really, no one can describe Jonathan Sanchez's no-hitter -- baseball's first of 2009 -- better than San Francisco Giants fans themselves...

Why didn't the Giants Win blog use an exclamation point on their post?!Aren't they excited?!

Stunning. A lot of commenters are bitching about that last strike, but he earned it. I've been up 20 hours now, 17 of which involved baseball -- counting 16 hrs at son's tourney today and last hour of Giants game on TV. What a way to end it. (Back at the field in 9 hrs.) Congrats to Sanchez. A very unexpected surprise, and how lovely for him to have his father there to watch him pitch for the first time. I'd say that's a good day all around.

Sanchez's breaking ball was sinking at a ridiculous level last night, especally in the late innings. The Giants needed this positive reinforcement!!

I know an exclamation point was needed
