Man, that was ugly.
With the infield covered in puddles, the wind whipping like the trash bags wrapped around Phillies fans' red hoodies, and the torrential downpour making J-Roll look like a rookie, officials (a.k.a. The Almighty Selig) decided to call it a night in the sixth inning.
...but not before the Tampa Bay Rays knotted it up at 2 a-piece with the Phillies just a handful of outs away from their first Title since 1980.
Luckily for the under dogs, the game will resume in the bottom of the sixth with the hometown team at the plate. A re-do.
Will we hear the deafening clang of the cowbell again this fall? When will we get to see more baseball, period? Could be tonight at 8pm ET. Maybe Wednesday at the same time. We'll keep you posted.
Update: Blueballs til Wednesday. Lame.

Hope the hotels in Delaware have enough rooms available through Wednesday. And hopefully Joe Buck decides to take a drive in the icy rainy snow mess and doesn't come back.
Screw Bud Selig.
