
The Milwaukee Brewers exercised manager Ned Yost's 2009 option last fall, but it was never officially announced until a luncheon interview this weekend.
Hired in October of 2002, the 53-year-old former Brewer led his club to a 83-79 record, finishing second in the NL Central behind the Chicago Cubs. Last year marked Milwaukee's first winning season in 15 years, since going 92-70 in 1992.

It's tough to give the Brew crew any love right now. Extending Yost was a big mistake!
But the Brewers need your love right now!
Look at where the Tigers were a few years ago...worst record in baseball, ever! That could be the Brewers in a few years, and you could have the distinction of saying you were never a fair weather fan.
That being said, there were many, many difficult years living in Michigan. People of Wisconsin, I tip my cap.
