Brewers Keep Ned Yost Around for '09

We've been called out for not writing about the Brewers enough. So, buddies I work with, here is a Brewers post just for you. I'm sorry they haven't done anything exciting since signing free agent bad boy, Mike Cameron.

The Milwaukee Brewers exercised manager Ned Yost's 2009 option last fall, but it was never officially announced until a luncheon interview this weekend.

Hired in October of 2002, the 53-year-old former Brewer led his club to a 83-79 record, finishing second in the NL Central behind the Chicago Cubs. Last year marked Milwaukee's first winning season in 15 years, since going 92-70 in 1992.

It's tough to give the Brew crew any love right now. Extending Yost was a big mistake!

But the Brewers need your love right now!

Look at where the Tigers were a few years ago...worst record in baseball, ever! That could be the Brewers in a few years, and you could have the distinction of saying you were never a fair weather fan.

That being said, there were many, many difficult years living in Michigan. People of Wisconsin, I tip my cap.
