Carlos Silva Has a New Home

Carlos Silva and the Seattle Mariners have reportedly agreed to a four-year contract worth an estimated $44 million, in a [shoddy] attempt at adding some depth to the club's rotation.

The 28-year-old right-handed free agent went 13-14 with a 4.19 ERA last season for the Minnesota Twins, which sadly, is better than every Seattle starter other than pea-throwing youngster, Felix Hernandez.

Silva pitched at least six innings in 24 of his 33 starts last season-- including a pair of complete games -- something the Mariners lacked in 2007. The team had just six complete games as a whole, three at the hands of Jeff Weaver.
