The gentleman pictured above either has no friends, or the stadium is indeed empty where he is sitting. Who knows when this photo was snapped, it could've been in the third inning for all we know... which means the Arizona Diamondbacks have like, four fans and it was past three of their bedtimes.

With the game tied at one, the Mean Mustache resurfaced for a sac fly to left that scored Willy Taveras. But just when you thought the D'Backs were cooked, a glimmer of hope shone off the bat of Eric Byrnes, who drove in the tying run on a fielder's choice in the bottom of the ninth.
"Sweet! Free baseball," shouted the fan at Chase Field.

Ryan Speier pitched the bottom of the inning and quickly retired all three batters for the 3-2 victory. Make that 19 of 20 and chalk it up to effing awesome.
The Rockies head back to Denver for Game 3 with a 2-0 lead in the series on Sunday, putting Josh Fogg on the hill to face Livan Hernandez, who was 1-0 with a 1.54 ERA in 5 games against Colorado this season, walking 14 batters and striking out 20.
Fogg went 1-1 with a 2.63 ERA in 4 games against Arizona this season, losing the only game he pitched at home.

I think that's Randy Johnson's younger brother.
I think he was paid to be there.
Seriously, why aren't the seats full? Who cares if you're not a D'Backs or Rockies fan, it's postseason baseball! Live! I just don't get it.
Phil Garner is really hurtin' for a job, isn't he?
The key to the whole game was the dribbler hit down the third base line in the last inning. Valverde fielded it but couldn’t make the play to first and held onto the ball. At the very end you can see him take a strange hop as he is trying to avoid the foul line which he is very superstitious about not stepping on.
But he did step on it.
He then stands there for a few seconds and stares at the foul line, and at that point I looked at my wife and said “This game is over. That guy is nuts and now his head is all fucked up from stepping on the line.” Sure enough he went on to walk two more batters including the winning run.
