"Forty is the new thirty." - Frank Thomas

Kenny Lofton stole his 33rd postseason base Thursday night and drove in four runs as the Cleveland Indians took the opener of their division series against the New York Yankees, 12-3. The steal tied Lofton with Rickey Henderson for the most swiped bags in playoff history.
After giving up a foul-pole homer to Johnny Damon in the first inning, C.C. Sabathia struggled through four more innings surrendering four hits and six walks with five strikeouts.
Chien-Ming Wang and the Bronx bullpen, on the other hand, were absolutely piss-pounded by the Indians' bats. Ryan Garko and Victor Martinez both hit two-run bombs, Casey Blake drove in two of his own, and Asdrubal Cabrera and Travis Hafner hit solo homers to account for the rest of Cleveland's runs.
While the Yankees turn to veteran Andy Pettitte on Friday, the Indians will send youngster Fausto Carmona -- their other 19-game winner -- to the mound in hopes for a game 2 victory.

Laughed my butt off when The Big Hurt said that last night.
Nice to see the Tribe making somebody else their b*tches for a change.
Also, nice that it was the Yankees.
