Prince Fielder is a Big Boy

Prince Fielder became the youngest big leaguer ever in the history of the world to hit 50 homers in a season when he hit not one, but two bombs in the Milwaukee Brewers' 9-1 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals Tuesday night.

The 23-year-old slugger joined his dad as the only father-son duo to hit 50 homers in a single season, as Cecil nailed 51 with the Detroit Tigers in 1990.

As a bonus, the Brewers tightened the gap in the NL Central to move within 2 games of the division-leading Chicago Cubs, who lost 4-2 to Dontrelle Willis and the Florida Marlins.

With five games remaining for each team, the Cubs' magic number is stranded at four.

Anything is possible, but it's going to be tough for the Brew Crew to play catch up, barring a Cubs collapse.

He's fun to watch, but to have to watch him act like a petulant little child when he talks about him and his dad is pathetic. He said he wants 52 HR's and an MVP because those are the two things his dad never got. Waahhh Waahhh Waahhh! Too bad all that talent is wasted on yet another adolescent. Sports needs more men and fewer boys.

I should clarify: He's awesome... at baseball.

I don't know any 23-year-old males that qualify as "men."
