Monday's Babelicious Scoreboard
Boston Red Sox rookie Kason Gabbard - in for the injured Curt Schilling - pitched an incredible 3-hit shutout over the Kansas City Royals Monday night... never mind. My 3-year-old niece shut them out last Thursday.
Still, the 25-year-old lefty now has 25 K's with a 3-0 record and a 3.38 ERA on the season, quickly stuffing his first goose egg in his pants for later enjoyment.
The Sox got solo shots from Dustin Pedroia and Manny Ramirez in the fourth followed by a two-run Big Papi longball in the sixth, all courtesy of KC starter Brian Bannister (5-6, 3.87 ERA).

Kason Gabbard does not sound at all like the name of a young man born in Ohio.
It's hard to credit a pitcher who shuts out teams the Royals and D Rays..
Ya know. The Pale Hos are like only, one game better than the Royals. :)
re: the White Sox. AWESOME.
It doesn't matter who THE BEST TEAM IN BASEBALL plays. The Red Sox continue down the road to the playoffs, stepping on anybody in their way, good or bad!!!!! It's tough to have the BEST RECORD IN THE MAJOR LEAGUES!!!
Ahhhh! Stop yelling at me! The Red Sox are amazing. There, I said it!
Kason Gabbard's pretty cute. Shame about the typo in his name, JASON.
Hahahaha! Typing is hard.
I was wondering what the hell that first anonymous commenter was talking about...
