Where The Heck Is Jose Lima?

I know it's a question that has been boggling all of our minds, so I was happy to read this post over at Lion In Oil.

Jose Lima, as it turns out, is playing in the Mexican League and is tied for the league lead in wins, with a 9-2 record and 3.87 ERA. Not bad!

This comes on the tail of a poor season with the New York Mets in 2006, where he lost all three of his starts, giving up 15 runs in only 14.1 innings for a whopping 8.79 ERA.

Let's not forget the Lima of Old, however, who he is beginning to resemble again. He boasts the one and only postseason victory for the Los Angeles Dodgers in the past 18 years, earned in 2004.

So what are the chances of Lima getting a call from the Big Leagues? Pretty good considering Chan Ho Park can get a minor league deal with the Astros.

Ya' see now, is he trying to catch the ball with the mouth or the mit in that pic? It's just so hard to tell...

Melissa is remarried to another man in Houston, she's already gone through the 1.2 million she got when she had a commen-law divorce from Lima (they were never actually married, only lived togother and she got knocked up.) Lima got another chick pregnant in AZ and he now has another son. He sold all his property in Houston and moved to AZ.
