Weed Out The Crap

The Baltimore Orioles could be at a turning point in their season, as they've shaken things up with the firing of manager Sam Perlozzo.

Though, I doubt he's the last to go.

Perlozzo lost what he called his "dream job" after just 2 1/2 months into his second full season. He was canned after compiling a 122-164 record since becoming the interim manager of Lee Mazzilli's firing in 2005, finishing fourth in the AL East last season with a 70-92 mark.

Davey Johnson, the last skipper to bring the O's a winning season, and Joe Girardi, last year's NL Manager of the Year (fired from the Marlins after a dispute with ownership) are at the top of the Baltimore front office's list of potential replacements, according to club sources.

Sooze, the Orioles just need to be rebuilt...

Anon - Tejada needs to go. The whole organization is so messed up that surrounding him with free agents makes no sense.

He should be traded.

Agreed, Anthony. Hopefully that's the organization's sentiment as well.

Here's where somebody's supposed to say "Stupid Angelos", right?

Perlozzo was doing all he could with what he had. Forgive me for saying this, but John Kruk said it best last night: No one can manage that team. They're terrible.
