Chicago Cubs third baseman Aramis Ramirez was placed on the 15-day disabled list yesterday with tendinitis in his left knee. Batting .299 with 13 homers and 39 RBIs, Ramirez was hurt running to first base on June 6th. The move is retroactive to June 7th.
Chicago also reinstated Cliff Floyd from the bereavement list, which he was on to tend to his ill father. The 34-year-old outfielder is hitting .306 with three longballs and 23 RBIs in 42 games this season.
