Congratulations to Brad Penny for becoming a strikeout pitcher.
Penny fanned 14 Florida Marlins last night after striking out a total of 15 batters in his previous six starts. The Los Angeles Dodgers righty is a perfect 4-0 with a low 1.39 ERA so far this season, allowing a rather alarming number of walks at seventeen.
Too bad his fly was down the entire time.

Oh my god that's great.
That always happend to me. I do something absolutly amazing just to find out my fly was down... or there was something in my teeth the whole time.
Life is cruel.
Sorry for bringing up a sore subject, anon.
Ha! Awesome.
That is what they call a balls out performance.
Back to the rest of Penny... I saw him in the Cal Leauge and thought he had the right stuff to be a great ML pitcher. Of course I thought Travis Lee (Ariz) and Ben Grieve (Oak) had the best swings I'd seen, so FWIW
The real question is, will he be un-zipped through his next outing?
Maybe I should do things with my fly down too. Sounds like a successful tactic to me... ;)
