Jake Peavy Is a Badass

Professional badass and San Diego Padres' ace Jake Peavy became the first pitcher in franchise history to strike out ten batters in four consecutive starts Friday night.

Sporting the 'mustard-and-mud' throwbacks from 1972, the Padres watched their starter pitch lights out, holding the St. Louis Cardinals (who adorned their gray 'bird on bat' unis) to just 3 hits over seven scoreless innings that led to a 7-0 victory over the defending World Series champs.

This is really nothing new for Peavy, who led the National League with 216 strikeouts in 2005. He tied his own franchise record with 16 K's at Arizona on April 19th but was unfortunately handed a no-decision.
