Nook Logan Injury Update

The Washington Nationals placed Nook Logan on the 15-day DL Tuesday with a left foot strain.

The center fielder suffered the injury in Monday's 9-2 loss to the Florida Marlins in the fourth inning when he banged his foot against the center field wall during a sweet leaping catch.

At first, Logan was thought to have a hyperextended left foot, but after X-Rays were found negative, an MRI confirmed the strain. He is expected to miss two to three weeks.

Last season, Logan hit .300 over 90 at-bats in his first campaign with the Nationals and third in the big leagues. He spent his first two seasons with the Detroit Tigers, batting .271 with two homers, 35 RBIs and 33 steals in 204 games.

The Nats recalled outfielder Kory Casto from AAA Columbus to replace Logan. Casto has absolutely no major league experience, so that should work out well.
