Hideki Matsui Injury Update

New York Yankees left fielder Hideki Matsui was placed on the 15-day disabled list this weekend after straining his left hamstring. An MRI showed blood near the injury.

New York plans to recall outfielder Kevin Thompson from AAA Scranton.
