The Washington Nationals have officially signed outfielder Nook Logan to a one-year contract, with undisclosed financial terms.
The switch-hitter started 25 of Washington's last 29 games in center field after being acquired from the Detroit Tigers on September 1st, batting .300 with 13 runs scored.

Oh, what a great name!
Nook's mother, Mickey Logan, nicknamed him that as a baby. He was born Exavier Prente Logan, but apparently a girlfriend of his mom, always said, "You need your NUK, NUK?" (referring to a pacifier) when he was crying.
