Baltimore Orioles pitcher José Acevedo was supposed to report to Orioles camp on Wednesday, but he never arrived.
Turns out the right-hander broke his collarbone and four ribs Friday when he crashed his motorcycle into a car in Santiago, Dominican Republic. He is expected to miss the entire season. Oops.
As a non-roster invitee to Orioles spring training who did not pitch for a major league team in 2006, Acevedo is 18-25 with a 5.74 ERA in five seasons with the Cincinnati Reds and Colorado Rockies.
Acevedo was conscious and in intensive care as of Friday.

You would think that all athletes would have learned a lesson when Ben Rothlisberger crashed his bike.
He's an idiot for riding a bike and blowing a chance to pitch in the bigs again.
THat being said, i do wish a speedy and healthy recovery.
